There are a lot of materials both written and spoken about becoming a leader; training for leaders; leadership tips etc. While I plan to touch on all of these topics, it is important to define the term “Being”. I prefer this definition: something that actually exists.
In other words, “Being A Leader” is about accepting the fact that you already are a leader regardless of the state or on what stage you find yourself: whether big or small. It is as much a state of mind as it is anything else. Recognizing that fact will change your perspective on everything you do. It is a responsibility. It can be a burden. It is never boring.
So as we start this New Year, let us recognize the fact that your leadership is something that actually exists. It is not something you are just becoming. Now let’s get to work.
