Projecting Peace

#Beingaleader means you have the ability to project peace to others. To project is to extend outward from yourself to someone else. To give of what you have to sustain others or fill their tanks. Peace is a sense of tranquility or calm that you have regardless of the current circumstances. So in order to project peace one needs to take his/her sense of tranquility and extend it to others.

Projecting peace means you have to have peace yourself. Peace and calm. Confidence. Steadfastness. Firmness. The assurance that not only is everything going to work out even if not what you wanted or thought but that you have confidence that you will survive and even thrive as a result.

While it is critical to have peace yourself, it is equally important for a leader to be able to project peace to others. Projecting means you have the ability to extend it to others. To give from your reservoir to fill up their tanks with peace. #Beingaleader means you have the ability to see what your team needs and when they are stressed, fearful, overcome, etc. you notice and you give of yourself to make their situation calmer; more peaceful in the situation.

#Beingaleader means that you have the ability to extend peace to others while the storm is raging all around you. Sort of like the eye of a tornado. It shouldn’t matter what’s flying all around you. Your job is to project peace to your team such that it extends to them and helps them experience that level of peace as well.

#Beingaleader means circumstances do not affect your peace. You are steady. Ready to meet the challenge. And it’s something that your team needs not only to see in you but to receive from you.
