#Beingaleader means you need to have the trust of your people. I have written about this before. See https://wordpress.com/block-editor/post/beingaleader.blog/133. However, it bears repeating in a time of crisis. Whether national, business or family.
So many decisions that are made are either followed or scorned based upon the level of trust someone has in their leadership. Even the exact same decisions will be viewed differently depending on whether you have trust in that person. We certainly see that in the political landscape of America. We often look at not the decision being made but the motives we feel are behind those decisions. In others words: how much do we trust the one making that decision?
#Beingaleader also means you have to be trustworthy. Worthy of trust. Trust in your decisions. Trust in your motives. Trust in you. Trust is build over a long period of time. Little decisions. Big decisions. Servant leadership. All of these work towards building the trust you need for crisis moments. Defining moments.
Trust breeds loyalty. Trust breeds confidence. Trust often gives you time. Time to let the scenario play out before the team panics. Work on building the trust now so you have it later when it’s really needed. Whether a parent, a CEO or in whatever capacity you are #beingaleader.
#Beingaleader means your people need to trust you. Create it now so you can spend it later.
