#Beingaleader means you have to re-think things all the time. Look at situations from new angles. Allow your mind to imagine things that aren’t there yet. Re-imagine. Re-tool.
Be careful about getting stuck in the ‘right’ way of thinking (i.e., your way). Allow yourself time and space to re-think things. This takes time set aside to do this task and openness to allow the creative juices to flow. They say necessity is the mother of invention. So is intentionality. Re-thinking on purpose.
Insanity is often defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If you don’t like the results you are getting, do it a different way. Re-think how you’re getting the same (unwanted) results. Re-imagine how you can do the same task but differently. To do anything less is a disservice to yourself and your team.
We certainly saw a lot of this during the pandemic of 2020. People had to change. Work had to change. We had to re-think how to do the same things but in a different way (remote, not with your team in person, etc.) Now that the moment is slowly passing us, don’t lose that momentum. Don’t lose that way of (re)-thinking. Keep it going. Just perhaps point it at different areas of your life.
What are the things that keep going wrong in your life or on your team? #Beingaleader means you need to re-think them.
