Birth

#Beingaleader means you need to give birth. To new ideas. To new projects. But most importantly to new leaders.

#Beingaleader means you need to be birthing and growing new leaders. Do not let the knowledge, experiences and lessons you have learned be lost when you are gone. Pass them on. Birth new leaders. In your organization. In your family. Your church. Your community.

Teach them. Raise them. And then let them go so they can live the life they were called to live. Sounds suspiciously like raising kids. And it is. Birthing leaders includes intentional training, focused attention, direct feedback and encouragement.

But the first step is birth. You must seek them out. Find them. Call them out for who they could be not just who they are today. Breathe life into them. Feed them. Challenge them. And then kick them out to do it on their own. All are necessary steps to successful birthing of new leaders.
