Power is an interesting thing. There is an authoritarian style. Persuasive style. Intimidation style. Manipulation style. And servant style. Servant style of power? Yes, servant leadership is about the proper use of power over a team, a follower or a project. A power that is not abused but rather used to grow others up. To show them the way. Often, to help the team push through.
Power used for the greater good not just for the leader’s good. Power that empowers others. Power with gentleness. Power that inspires rather than tears down. Power that is used in a limited fashion.
