#Beingaleader means you have a team. Not just followers. A team. I did a quick search of my previous blogs and found that I have mentioned “team” over 20 times and “followers” only 3 times. That’s one indication that shows the importance of team. But I haven’t specifically talked about having a team and why that’s important.
Having a team is crucial. In concept, even if not currently the reality in your situation. You are not a lone ranger commanding your followers. Followers do what they are told. Team members are co-laborers in whatever task you are trying to accomplish. Followers have little power and authority. Team members can make decisions for the team within the authority of their particular task or position.
Team members help each other because it helps the team and it’s the right thing to do. Team members give input and provide valuable course corrections for the whole. Team members are vital to the success of the project. Team members carry on the mission without you. Followers may not.
