#Beingaleader means you need to choose peace. Note that I didn’t say ‘have a peaceful circumstance’. Peace is less about the circumstances you find yourself in. But rather, peace is a state of mind. A place of being. The place you should want to live your real life. Less about the absence of conflict and more about how you deal with conflict and still maintain your peace.
It is less peace from something. But rather peace during something. Meaning you can’t always change your circumstances but you can change how you react to them. This is connected to the joy we talked about last week (https://beingaleader.blog/2021/12/14/joy/).
Life doesn’t always grant us the absence of conflict or difficult or challenging circumstances. But #Beingaleader means you need to develop the ability to navigate through those situations with inner peace. If you fail in this task, you will likely be miserable as most of your life is out of your control.
So how do you do that? It comes from being centered. Having a belief system that, while you can’t control everyone and everything, you can use to work at controlling yourself and your reactions. Your are the hardest person to lead! (https://beingaleader.blog/2019/01/08/leading-you/). Be content with yourself. Believe in something greater than yourself. All of these can lead you to lead a peaceful life. Without that you will be miserable most of the time.
#Beingaleader means you need to choose peace. Choose it today.
