Slow

#Beingaleader means you have to be slow. Deliberate thinker. Deliberate analysis. Slow decision maker. Oftentimes you just can’t afford not to take the time to step back and wait. Deliberation gets you to the finish line without unnecessary losses. Slow and deliberate gets you to the win.

A deliberate thinker looks at all the factors and various possibilities while others go by too fast without seeing the reality. You look at a situation, whether it’s new or not, and you make a deliberate assessment of how to apply previous experience to this new situation. A deliberate thinker is someone who doesn’t let previous bad experience hold them back or paralyze them into inaction. A deliberate thinker is sharp, sees through the chatter and gets to the heart of the matter. It just may take a bit longer to assess the potential ups and downs of the decision.

But then you have to apply that deliberate analysis and often make a well thought out decision. A slow decision maker is someone who wants to minimize risks by getting all the facts even if they are incomplete and sometimes contradictory. You can’t allow those things to speed you up to make a careless decision. However, the more decisions you make over time the higher the batting average. If you make very few decisions then the ones you make escalate in importance and failure becomes closer to a reality than otherwise should be.

#Beingaleader means you need to be slow. Slow down.
