Heat can come from decisions you made. Good or bad. Or it might come from decisions others made over which you had no control. Either way you need to learn to take the heat. Live in the heat. Embrace the heat.

#Beingaleader means you have to be calm and sometimes keep your mouth shut in response to the heat. Sometimes it’s a cool response to the heat. But it’s never a heated response that is advised. You must help set the temperature for your team.

If you respond in kind, in many ways you have abdicated your leadership role. #Beingaleader means you have to lead your team where they need to go not necessarily respond to where they are currently at. The goal is to lead people not to respond to them.
