Anxious

#Beingaleader means that you often feel anxious about the results of the actions you are taking. Or often you’re anxious about the actions that others are taking on your behalf. Experiencing nervousness about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. Beyond your control. Out of reach. Unable to do it yourself. Relying on others.

#Beingaleader means you have to plan what you want to see happen. Then train others through practice and doing it with you. Then watch what they do. And then wait. Often you wait to see if they are doing it right. Often you may have to wait to see if they’re actually doing it at all. And wait. Anxious about those things out of your control. Anxious.

Anxious can also mean excited. Excited about the possibilities even if you’re not sure what the outcome will be. Excited about how you’re training has proven to be effective and that your team members are (finally) getting it. Excited about those things that you no longer need to control. Excited.

#Beingaleader means you often feel anxious. Get excited.
