#Beingaleader means you should take times of reflection. To see where you’ve come from. To see where you want to go. To identify new areas to think about and press into.
Do you know where you’ve come from? Have you taken the time to reflect on the steps that got you where you are today? The sacrifices you’ve made. The training you went through. The stories you have lived through. These are things to remember. To pass on to others. To use as building blocks. You’ve invested in yourself and you sometimes just need to recognize how far you’ve come. You are doing well.
Do you know where you are going? Part of reflection is identifying any missteps that might have been made. Corrections that need to be made. New pathways that need to be walked down. All for the purpose of identifying the best way to get where you want to go. Both personally and as a team. Failing to reflect will often cause you to have to make major course corrections to get to your destination rather than smaller ones.
Are you able to identify new areas to think about? Any time you take the time to reflect it can lead to the possibility of new ideas coming forth. Have you ever wondered why on vacation or special set aside times your creative ideas seem to flourish more than normal? That’s because you are giving yourself time to reflect without the distraction of normal life.
#Beingaleader means you should take times of reflection. Take the time.
