Positive

#Beingaleader means you have to be positive. Positive personally. Positive professionally. Positive about the future.

To be positive personally means you are happy with the way your life is going and you project that happiness to others. Smiling is part of this but a smaller part than you would perhaps think. It’s not about being fake happy while others are looking. Being positive means you believe that things are getting better. That you are achieving what you want to achieve or your circumstances have a higher degree of good things than bad currently. It’s when you take solace that your life is good in one or more areas and those outweigh the hardship or bad that might be happening in another area.

To be positive professionally means you take that personal positivity and allow it to enter and shine in your work space. Being positive, again, doesn’t mean fake. It means you are genuinely positive with others, their potential and what you can do together as a team. Nothing kills a team faster than a negative leader. Encouragement comes from positivity. It breeds confidence in others and allows them the space to see possibilities that they might be too negative to see at the moment.

To be positive about the future means you can see things perhaps that others cannot. The bigger picture. The important things vs. just the details that others many focus on. Current setbacks vs. long term growth. Potential. Possibilities. Positivity. They go hand in hand. Allow yourself some time to sit back and look at where you’ve come from so that you can be positive about where you are going or will end up.

#Beingaleader means you have to be positive. Let negativity go.
