#Beingaleader means you need to distinguish between busyness and business. Busyness is filling in time slots. Business is about getting the job done. Busyness is doing lots of stuff. Business is achieving lots of stuff.
Do you find yourself filling in time with non-essentials? With busyness? Perhaps it’s because you’re procrastinating? Or perhaps you’re simply avoiding what needs to be done? Sometimes we choose busyness because it’s what everyone else around us is doing and we just want to ‘fit in’. Busyness can take over your life and prevent you from accomplishing anything of significance.
If you want to get down to business, then you need to first know what kind of business you are in? Are you leading something? Family? At work? In ministry? Or just yourself? Then that’s where your focus needs to be. That’s the business you’re in. Busyness gets in the way of that. Entangles you. Takes your energy. Causes you to lose your focus. Recognize it and learn to spend your time on your business.
