Merit

#Beingaleader means you need to have merit. Merit means to be worthy of. Possessing good and worthwhile qualities. When something has merit, it is considered valuable. People view it will positivity. Something to seek after. To grow for sure. But you have it to begin with.

What qualities do you have? Since you are a leader, by definition you have qualities. They will be different for everyone and everyone will be at different depths within those qualities even if they are overlapping. Honestly. Public speaking. Inspiration. Teaching. Mentoring. Energy. Never-quitted-ness…. You have these. And more.

But, how do you view your own qualities? How do you assess yourself? This goes to confidence. Assurance that you have what it takes. That you are up for the challenge. Or, at the very least, given your position, you need to act like it. Do you bemoan qualities that you don’t have or do you dig into the qualities that you do have? Too many leaders are timid. Too many are shy in their leadership. Be bold. Understand your qualities and express them. You have merit as a leader.

#Beingaleader means you have merit. Acknowledge it. Be worthy of it.
