Drama Queen

#Beingaleader means you should not be a drama queen. Or tolerate it on your team. Stop being overly dramatic every time something goes wrong or not exactly how you wanted them to go. Things happen. Some good. Some not so good. But you need to press through them without creating additional chaos or drama on your team.

Don’t add stress to the situation by reacting negatively. Instead, extinguish what negative emotions you can. In yourself, and those of others on your team that do anything but calm the situation. Think clearly. Be as rational as possible. It just doesn’t help, and often hurts the situation if you react emotionally or rashly.

The job of the leader is to lead. To set the standard. The tone. Not to be led by others’ reactions. You lead those reactions by how you respond. So make sure they are good ones. Emotions that are productive for the situation. Encourage others to do the same.

#Beingaleader means you should not be a drama queen. Be a leader and don’t be overly dramatic.
