#Beingaleader means you can often feel depleted. Energy crashed. Vision blurred. And your “care meter” very low.
Have you ever had an energy crash? This can be physical or emotional. You just don’t feel like you can keep going. The physical reasons are easier to fix. Get back to the healthy things that worked for you in the past. If it’s emotional, you need to stop and evaluate what brought you to this point. What are the things that bring you life and can bring you back? Quietness? Reading? Working out? Walking in the woods? Whatever works for you. Do that. And do it now. Don’t let yourself wallow here.
Has your vision ever been blurred? The reason you’re a leader in the first place. Can’t see the reason anymore? You most likely have taken a deep hit. A wound. Something that is standing in the way. That blurs your vision. Time to refocus. Look again at the reasons that used to get you up in the morning. Re-energize your vision.
Sometimes you just don’t seem to care. You’ve almost given up and see no point anymore. That’s when you need to dig into your reserves. Often at year-end or end of project it is important to assess the victories. The reasons for you to be leading in the first place. Now’s the time to dig those stories back up. The people you’ve touched. The successes you’ve achieved. The legacy you’ve created. Find your why again.
#Beingaleader means you can often feel depleted. Hang in there. A wave of energy is coming your way.
