Today

#Beingaleader means you need to be aware and focused on today. Yes, I know. Everyone says look to the future. And, yes you should. But you also need to take care of today. Don’t look past it. Don’t squander it. The future will come but it will look an awful lot like today when it gets here. The future is a mystery. Today is concrete.

Today is the day to prepare for what is coming. Prepare the skills. Prepare the mind. Prepare anything you think you might need for the future. Today is the day to clean out and remove those things that are holding you back. You can’t do that in the future. You need to do it today.

Today is the day to hone that character quality needed for what is coming. You have no idea what challenges await you in the future. But, today, you can make you a better you. A more ready you. A more flexible you. A more qualified you. Today.

Thinking about the future is often easier than dealing with today. But it’s today that all the good stuff can happen. The future is only ethereal until it’s today.
