#Beingaleader means you need to lead a life of lessons learned. The good. The bad. And the ugly. Not just go through the lessons. But lessons learned. Meaning, are you going to have to keep doing the same thing over and over or are you finally going to learn to move on and through them?
See, you want to eventually learn the lesson. It’s just a matter of timing. And perhaps the amount of pain that you need to endure before you learn it. Bad communicator to subordinates? You need to learn your lesson soon. Reactor to hard times? Better learn the lesson about living at peace with yourself and others.
Often the difference between a good leader and a bad one is this very thing: have I learned the lessons along the way? Have I improved? Have I dealt with the bad habits? Have I learned that being kind is better than being bossy? Have I learned that teaching someone to do something is better than getting angry and just doing it myself?
#Beingaleader means you want to get better. That when the leader gets better, everyone wins. That’s the goal. Get better. Have everyone around you get better because of you. Learn the lessons and pass them on to others. Leave this place better than you found it.
#Beingaleader means you need to lead a life of lessons learned. Learn them quickly.
