#Beingaleader means that sometimes you feel lost. Unable to find your way. Or having misplaced the path of the direction you felt you were headed in. That pit in your stomach feeling that things just aren’t going the way they are supposed to.
Being lost is not a good feeling. It’s disorienting. It might even contain some panic and wonderment over whether it will always be this way or whether you will ever find your way again. You keep asking yourself if the fog will ever lift? Will you find the path again?
So, how do you become ‘unlost’? How do you come back to the place where you know where you are and what direction to go in? They say that when you are lost you need to go back the direction you came from in order to find a place where you see familiar surroundings. Same thing with leadership. If you feel you’ve lost your path, go back to the place or the circumstance that seems familiar and go forward from there. If you want to find your way, start doing the things or habits that are familiar to you and that have worked in the past. You may find you stumble across your path in short order.
Feeling lost can be emotional. In order to combat that emotion, you should do things that are familiar. Things that are life giving. Reading a book. Watching a tutorial. Going for a walk. Play or listen to music. Whatever it takes to reduce the stress and help you find your way.
#Beingaleader means sometimes you feel lost. Do the familiar and just keep going.
