#Beingaleader means you need to avoid infamy. Being well known for a bad quality or deed. Infamy can kill your future. It means others will look at you with suspicion. It is very hard to overcome public infamy.
So what do I mean by infamy? Infamy is not just a mistake. It’s likely a trait that has led you to do something or a series of somethings that bring your word into question. That might have hurt others. And everyone knows it and tries to avoid you in the future.
So how can I change any infamy in my life? First, is recognition that it was your fault. You did it. Own it. Then seek forgiveness from those that you hurt if at all possible. If appropriate, try and restore the relationship, pay the restitution or make such a public change that everyone can start taking a new look at you.
It is better to be known for doing good. For helping others and not tearing them down. Don’t be that person that tears others down. Don’t be that leader who is known for doing things that hurts others. You bring the disdain upon yourself if you do. You will live in infamy.
#Beingaleader means you need to avoid infamy and rather seek the best in others.
