#Beingaleader means you will sometimes feel unfulfilled. You won’t always be doing everything that you want to be doing. A lot of the things that are on your plate will not fulfill you. They won’t be the things you desire to do. You might even dislike some or all of them. But #Beingaleader means you have to do them. They are part of the package.
It seems so obvious in other fields of study. For example, if you want to fulfill your dream of winning an Olympic medal, the crowds see a few seconds of your performance. They don’t see all of the things you did to get to those few seconds. The hard work. The necessary but unfulfilling tasks you had to perform. Sometimes over and over again. Things you didn’t want to do. Things that were hard to do. But were necessary to get you to the place where you can actually reach the fulfillment you so long desired.
And therein lies the rub: what are you willing to do in order to reach your goals, your dreams or your desired destination? What sacrifices are you willing to make? What hard things are you prepared to do? How unfulfilled are you willing to feel in order to reach your goal?
#Beingaleader means you will sometimes feel unfulfilled. It’s part of the plan.
