Sage

#Beingaleader means that at some point you will be a sage. One who teaches others to be a leader. One to whom others go for advice and counsel. One who has built a legacy of consistency, honor, and courage and led by example. Everyone wants one. The question today is whether you will become one for others?

Are you preparing a life worthy of being an example to others? Are you creating disciplines in your life and in your leadership that others can look to and emulate? There is no time like the present to start. Make good decisions today. Be kind to others. Be honoring to those around you. Learn the aspects of becoming a sage.

A sage doesn’t need to be old. Just experienced. So don’t say you are too young to be an example to others. You might have the experience needed in one or more areas that others can look to and, if you’re open, to seek your advice and guidance in a matter within that area of expertise.

A sage has seen a thing or two. They should not be easily dismissed as old fashioned or just plain old. Yes, they might not be as current or savvy as you might want them to be but they’ve been through the battles that you are or will be facing. Every generation goes through them. Why go through them alone? Many of the sages in my life have long since passed from this earth but they left behind an example to follow. They left behind written or spoken materials that cross generations and help me meet the challenges of #Beingaleader.

#Beingalder means that at some point you will be a sage. Be preparing now.
