#Beingaleader means you need to have respect. For yourself. For others. Respect for what you do and respect for how you got to where you are.
Respect for yourself. The position you are in. The value you bring. The obstacles you have overcome. Not pride. Respect. Respect means due regard. Sound judgment of the facts. Knowing what you have accomplished to this point and what potential you have for the future. It is important to have this sober view of what you have done in order to have the confidence to go further. Go deeper. Do more than you ever thought possible. Reach your long term goals.
Respect for others comes out of that respect for yourself. If you cannot respect yourself, you cannot respect others. So, due regard for what they have accomplished. What they have gone through to this point. Their successes. Their hardships. Their potential for the future. Your team deserves respect. Without it, you and your team cannot accomplish your mutual potential.
