Storm

#Beingaleader means you are often in the storm. You need to know how to handle them because they won’t be a one time occurrence. They will keep on coming. Storms bring chaos. They bring stress. They bring uncertainty. How you respond to the storm will define your leadership.

Storms are inevitable. Often unavoidable. And yet they come. To all of us. They come at the most inconvenient times. They last for various durations and they often have the potential for taking you completely out of the game. Financially. Emotionally. Whatever the storm. It can take you out.

So, how do you prepare for a storm? Especially for one you’ve never seen before? What’s needed most in a storm is an anchor. You can take a lot of abuse. You can take a lot of discouragement. You can take a lot of chaos and uncertainty. But only if you have an anchor. If you firmly know who you are. Your abilities. Your people. Your community. Whatever it is that defines you and your leadership. If that is settled, then what happens in the storm will not break you. You might even learn from it. Unpleasant as it might be, it can make you even stronger.

Get ready. The storm is coming. Prepare your community now. Prepare financially whenever possible. Prepare emotionally. Prepare physically. Prepare your leadership skills. Wherever you can possibly prepare, do so. Because the storm is coming.

#Beingaleader means you are often in the storm. Be ready. Be prepared. Sail through.
