Beingaleader means you need to remember you are dealing with humans. Technology is a tool. People are your resource.

Humans have feelings. Humans have emergencies. Humans don’t react the same way from each other or even each time. Humans are unique. Humans have bad days and good days. Humans need to feel valued. That they matter and that what they are doing matters.

It takes time to know what your humans on your team need. Time spent together. Time spent training. Time spent understanding. Learning their strengths and weaknesses. Yes, it’s a time investment. But that’s what leadership really is. You can’t lead your team effectively if you don’t that the time to get to know them.

Humans can do amazing things, if they are inspired. They can do consistent work if they are given the training and the tools needed. They can flourish in an environment that other humans want to spend time in as well if you take the lead in creating that environment.
