Change

Beingaleader means you need to deal with change. And change can hurt. Change can create upheaval. Change is hard. And most people resist change.

I’ve talked about change management before (https://beingaleader.blog/2024/11/05/change-management/). That’s the process of working through change to achieve your desired outcomes. But change itself is hard to respond to. It’s unknown. It’s often unclear. It requires a lot of planning. And it’s very unsettling for a lot of people.

But change can be an opportunity to start over. Change can give you a perspective that you didn’t have before. Change can help you achieve new insights that you were unaware of before. Change can be a catalyst for great things.

But, again, change must be embraced or it could destroy what you are trying to accomplish. With so much natural resistance to change, you must actively embrace it. You must take a chance and accept the change before you can truly analyze its impact. Half-hearted acceptance destroys any chance of success with change.

Beingaleader means you need to deal with change. Embrace it and come out the other side better for it.
